Speaker of the Nasarawa state House of Assembly Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, Thursday, swore in three members-elect from the Daniel Ogazi-led faction.
Administering oath of office on the members- elect during an emergency sitting in Lafia, the speaker called on the legislators to be committed to peace and development of the state.
He called on the lawmakers to pay more attention to issues aimed at entrenching sustainable development of the state.
Balarabe assured them of equal treatment and opportunities as members of the state house of assembly for the common good of the people of Nasarawa state.
Among the three members-elect who are Mohammed Oyanki PDP Doma North, Ovey John PDP Keffi East and Hudu A Hudu APC Awe North.
On behalf of the three members member representing Doma North state constituency, Mohammed Oyanki of the PDP said they decided to dump the other group where he was elected deputy speaker in the interest of peace, unity and development.
He called on the remaining members to toe the path of peace and submit themselves to be sworn in by the speaker of the house Alhaji Ibrahim Balarabe to give their constituents sense of belonging.
