The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) is a Pentecostal megachurch and denomination in Lagos, Nigeria. It has branches all over Nigeria and beyond.

1: Late Pa Josiah Akindayomi founded the Church in 1952. He was 71 years old when he died.
2: The church first met at 9 Willoughby Street until they were able to acquire some land thereby witnessing a relocation to the present site of the Headquarters of the church at 1-5 Redemption Way, Ebute-Metta, Lagos.
3: Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye joined the Church in 1973 as a young lecturer with the University of Lagos.
4: Pastor Adeboye became one of the interpreters translating Pa Akindayomi’s sermons from Yoruba to English. He was ordained a pastor of the church in 1975 and became the General Overseer of the Church in 1981.
5: In 2008, Adeboye was awarded the Order of the Federal Republic of Nigeria by the Nigerian President.
6: At the last count, there are at least about 2000 parishes of the Redeemed Christian Church of God in Nigeria. On the International scene, the church is present in other African nations including C’ote D’Ivoire, Ghana, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Gambia, Cameroon, and South Africa. In Europe the church is spread in England, Germany, and France. In the United States there are parishes in Dallas, Tallahassee, Houston, New York, Washington, and Chicago and also in the Caribbean states of Haiti and Jamaica with over 9,938,617 members worldwide

7: In the year 2005, Redeemed Christian Church of God established first tertiary institution called Redeemer’s University located at Ede, Osun State.
8: The local churches are now grouped into regions, with 25 regions in Nigeria. It is also organised throughout most of the world. Notable special spiritual programs are the Holy Ghost Service, which holds on the first Friday of every month in Nigeria. Others include the annual Holy Ghost Convention in August and the Holy Ghost Congress in December, both held in Nigeria, as well as others held abroad.
In 2020, the main church in Lagos had 50,000 people.
